Our country is threatened by too few elected officials who understand, much less appreciate or respect, the Constitution of the greatest nation that has ever existed on the face of the earth.

This incredible document, which can only be considered divinely inspired, confirms our freedoms, our God-given rights.  Over the course of human existence, very few men and women have enjoyed the litany of rights that we do here in America, a fact that not enough Americans appreciate.

The United States is also threatened by a dearth of elected and appointed government officials who don’t understand economics or appreciate that our nation’s historic prosperity was created by our system of free enterprise.  We are burdened by more and more regulations and an obsolete tax system that together are destroying American businesses and jobs.  California is ground zero for elected officials who don’t respect the Constitution or the free enterprise system.

I have done my research on the candidates for U.S. Senate and found that, fortunately, California Republicans have an opportunity to send forth into the battle of ideas a Reagan conservative to challenge Feinstein: businessman and conservative Dan Hughes.

Dan Hughes has a deeper appreciation for the Constitution and the challenges facing our nation.  Dan also has the best grasp of economics and stronger commitment to the free enterprise system.  He is president and owner of a company that employs nearly 100 Californians.  Dan Hughes knows what it means to meet a payroll, sign a paycheck, balance a budget, and deal with government regulation and taxes.  He knows how to create jobs because he has done it.

Dan is someone who exemplifies citizenship – he is active in his church and in his community through various charitable activities.  He is a leader and a problem solver –an engineer with an MBA – knowledge and experience Congress both badly lacks and needs.

Dan is truly grounded in his conservative philosophy and is clearly the conservative choice for Republicans to face Dianne Feinstein.  He is someone that we can trust to be a principled advocate for limited government, fiscal responsibility and adherence to the Constitution.

Dan Hughes will fight for the economic freedom that will strengthen our economy, for reduced government regulations, for reform of our tax code, against tax increases, and to secure our borders and protect our national security.

Dan is a committed, hardworking candidate who is spending his time and money to stand up for conservative principles and take the fight to Dianne Feinstein.
