Herman Cain's 9-9-9 Tax Plan Enters California Senate Race
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dan Hughes is playing up his support for Herman Cain, touting his endorsement of the former GOP presidential hopeful's 9-9-9 tax plan.
An email to supporters highlights the Southern California businessman's endorsement of Cain's plan, which would replace the current structure with a federal rate of 9 percent on incomes, businesses and sales.

The latest candidate to commit to Herman Cain's '9-9-9' Economic Recovery and Jobs Program hails from the state of California. Republican Dan Hughes is running for the Senate seat that has been occupied by Sen. Dianne Feinstein for the past two decades.
“Politicians like Sen. Feinstein are part and parcel of the “Goliath” that has become our government. That is why we are building an 'Army of Davids' to get our power back from the government,” Cain said. “By signing his name to '9-9-9' , Mr. Hughes has demonstrated his willingness to be a lieutenant in this 'Army of Davids'.

Dan Hughes: The Conservative Choice For Senate
California is ground zero for elected officials who don’t respect the Constitution or the free enterprise system. No one personifies the arrogance of liberalism more than the states two U.S. Senators, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein. Boxer is known as the more stridently liberal but voting records reveal that Feinstein actually is also one of the most liberal members of the United States Senate.
I have done my research on the candidates for U.S. Senate and found that, fortunately, Californian Republicans have an opportunity to send forth into the battle of ideas a Reagan conservative to challenge Feinstein: businessman and conservative Dan Hughes.

GOP Hopefuls Gear Up For Run Against Calif. Sen. Feinstein
Hughes, an Oceanside Republican who runs a Carlsbad business that provides ventilation services to hospitals throughout the state, is a first-time candidate and a newcomer to the state party convention scene. He said voters will be drawn to him once they see he has been a "passionate conservative my entire life."
He scored the endorsement of former state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, the tea party's top candidate in the 2010 U.S. Senate primary, heading into the convention.

GOP Businessman Joins Field Challenging Sen. Dianne Feinstein
Conservative Oceanside businessman Dan Hughes has joined the field of Republican candidates challenging Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein's reelection bid this year. Hughes said he raised most of the $100,000 cash on hand for his challenge in less than 30 days from "friends and neighbors eager to endorse" his candidacy.
